This Bakhtiari rug dates to circa 1900. Its garden design is divided into shaped compartments, each holding trees or flowers. Cypress trees alternate with rose bouquets and spreading branches, while a broad floral border surrounds the field. The repeated divisions give the garden a clear, ordered structure.
