Woven in Farahan circa 1880, this rug centres on a lobed medallion with pendants above and below. Six vases surround it in strict symmetry: the upper pair hang like chandeliers, the side pair turn toward the centre and the lower pair stand upright, each releasing fine flowering sprays.
