Signed by the Ijadi workshop of Tabriz in its first generation, circa 1900, this rare pictorial carpet unites architecture and legend. The Shah Mosque of Isfahan forms its centre, with Persepolis, Chehel Sotoun, Taq-e Kasra and Soltaniyeh in the corners, while winged angels, phoenixes and mask-like faces animate the field.
